CBD for Athletes

“Cannabidiol is no longer prohibited.”

World Anti-Doping Agency’s (WADA)

This statement by the WADA has brought a HUGE change to the world of sports and the way in which CBD is viewed. It allows thousands of athletes to use it for recovery and health benefits without having the fear of laws & regulations.

The world of sports was one of the first to stand beside CBD and its beneficial qualities in muscle recovery, bone strengthening and sleep enhancement.

Today, many athletes use CBD during their recovery, including cases of severe head injuries.

Cannabidiol, otherwise known as CBD, can act in a variety of beneficial ways for people who are perfectly healthy as well!

International sport organizations are considering the exclusion of CBD from the list of banned drugs in 2019 and permitting its use.

CBD is an excellent substitute for sleeping pills because of its ability to relax the body and prevent sleep disorders, which is especially important for those who perform on the highest level in sports on a daily basis.

Sleep: One of the most important but underestimated factors for excellence in athletic performance is sleep. The human body and mind are at their peak when well rested.

Athletes like Roger Federer, one of the top Tennis players of all times, sleep an average of 12 hours a day- about 10 hours at night and a 2-hour nap during the day.

Usain Bolt, the fastest sprinter in the world, sleeps around 9-10 hours and takes naps during the day. In one of his biggest record settings, he was awake only 35 minutes before his peak performance and went on to set a new world record.

LeBron James, one of the top NBA stars in the history of the sport, says that sleep is one of his biggest assets and secrets to his extreme human abilities.
